Template for Fundraising Campaign -- College Applications!

Dear friends and family –

As you know, I have worked very hard to prepare myself for college. In the next 90-days I will begin submitting my college applications. As a student who qualifies for low-income fee waivers, I am provided with some fee waivers for UCs, CSUs, and private colleges. While I am grateful for these waivers, I may not be able to cover 100% of the fees for all of the schools I wish to apply. This is why I am writing to you today.

Let me give you an example. Below are the current application fees to the types of schools I will be applying:

University of California ($70 per campus)

California State University ($55 per campus)

Stanford University ($90)

Santa Clara University ($55)

Saint Mary’s ($55)

Here is where I need your help. I am asking family and friends for assistance in helping me reach my goal by donating any amount possible (even $5). Or, you can sponsor a particular school. I am enclosing a self-addressed envelope and I’m hoping you can help me reach this important goal.

I will send updates via email, and I will also send a final email notifying you of the university where I received admission. On behalf of myself and my family, I thank you very much for considering this important request.
