The Quetzal Mama Scholars Program launched as a pilot program in 2014.
In 2018, the program is in the 5th year, working with the 4th cohort of students. The program is now extended for 10 months, with workshops every other week.
Students are interviewed and selected from the following North San Diego public and charter school districts:
San Marcos Unified, Carlsbad Unified, Vista Unified, Oceanside Unified, Fallbrook Unified, and the Charter Districts of Guajome Academy and High Tech High North County.
