“The Personal Statement for Community College Transfer Students”

Learn how to write the personal statement for transfer students. This workshop covers the profile of admitted transfer students, statistics specifically for transfer students, and how to address the essay prompts. Bonus: determine whether you should submit the additional essay concerning special circumstances.

Workshops are free for QUALIFYING students (meet all 4 criteria):

1.     Belong to historically underrepresented minority group
(Latino, Native-American, and African-American);
2.     Hold a 3.0 GPA or higher;
3.     First in family to attend college;
4.     Receive or be eligible for Free or Reduced Lunch.
